Alexis Yarnall & Andrew Loch
Camp Weekend: June 5 - June 7, 2026
Our engagement
On our last backpacking trip of 2024, Andrew and I were in one of our favorite places: the East Sierra outside Yosemite. On our last night of the trip, we had finished a long day of hiking by finding the perfect camp spot on a little alpine lake called Iceberg Lake. As we ate our dinner and talked, we started reflecting on our life and all the places we had gotten to visit, the friends we had made, and the places we lived throughout our relationship. We started feeling sentimental about all the love and support we have received and decided it felt right for us to get married and celebrate this little life we have created.
Our intentions for the celebration
Over the many years of our relationship (13?), our family and friends have shaped who we are today, both as individuals and as a couple and we feel so grateful to have you as part of our celebration. From our family to our high school, college, and SE Michigan friends, to those we've met in Southern California and the Bay Area, we've been shaped by so many different circles of people who have each had a profound impact on our lives. We are hoping that our wedding can be a celebration of all those parts of us, and beyond just a union of us to be a union of people we love who have made us who we are today.
One of our favorite ways to spend quality time together is camping and backpacking, so we thought it would be fun to invite our guests to join us for a weekend of adventure. To make sure we can actually spend time with everyone traveling to celebrate, we’ve planned events from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. We’d love for you to join us at camp for as much time as you’re able. In addition to the scheduled activities, we’ll have games, crafts, and hiking trails available for you to enjoy whenever you like. Throughout the weekend will be providing all meals and drinks.
Our Venue
OVY Camp: 5360 La Honda Rd, San Gregorio, CA 94074
We are so excited to host our wedding weekend at OVY Camp. During the weekend, we will have access to the entire 100 acre property, including guest cabins (see lodging information), hiking trails, games, and craft stations around the property. Andrew and I get so much joy from our camping trips, and we are so excited to host you all for one big campout!
Another thing to love about this venue: OVY camp is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit. The money they receive from us hosting at their venue is used to bring underserved youth to OVY Camp’s summer camp program.

Lodging options
Cabins (on site)
These are rustic cabins that sleep up to 8 per cabin, once we have final reservations we will assign cabins based on who you know. Cabins are twin bunk beds, and you need to bring your own bedding/sleeping bags and towels. There are community bathrooms & shower rooms shared between the cabins. Detailed information will be provided about the cabins with the formal invitation. The cost for onsite cabins is $50 per person per night, if you have any concerns on price feel free to reach out!
Half Moon Bay Lodge
If rustic isn’t your thing no pressure to stay in the cabins. We would still love if you came to hang out at the camp for as much time as possible and you are still welcome to all the meals and activities. We have a room block at Half Moon Bay Lodge. Please book through our link: Half Moon Bay Lodge Booking Link
The link above will ensure you are booked in our wedding block at a discounted rate, so please use the link to book. To guarantee a room you must book by April 22, 2026. Your reservation cannot be cancelled after April 22, 2026.
Additional options:
Hotels
Half Moon Bay is a tourist town that has plenty of hotels options. If you are planning on booking a hotel outside of Half Moon Bay Lodge, we recommend you book early as reservations can go quick for June. You can check out the Quality Inn Half Moon Bay/Mirimar beach for an option for a cheaper room option, but please note we do not have a room block at the Quality Inn, so reservations are subject to availability.
Airbnb/Vrbo
There are also Airbnb/Vrbo options in the area. We recommend you search within San Gregorio or Half Moon Bay if you go this route.
Camping options
We also have space for 2 campers/vans on premise, so if you want to bring a RV or camper and stay on site you are more than welcome to do so. You are also welcome to go for the full camping experience and bring a tent. We have 100 acres so no shortages of spots to pitch a tent.
